Deoxyribonuclease - instructions for use, reviews, analogs and forms of release (injections in ampoules for injection of lyophilizate) of the drug for the treatment of herpes of the eyes, adenovirus infection, bronchoectatic disease in adults, children and in pregnancy

In this article, you can read the instructions for using the drug Deoxyribonuclease. Presented are reviews of visitors to the site - consumers of this medication, as well as opinions of doctors of specialists on the use of Deoxyribonuclease in their practice. A big request is to actively add their feedback on the drug: the medicine helped or did not help get rid of the disease, which were observed complications and side effects, possibly not declared by the manufacturer in the annotation. Analogues Deoxyribonuclease in the presence of existing structural analogues.Use to treat herpes of the eyes, adenovirus infection, bronchiectasis, pneumonia in adults, children, as well as during pregnancy and lactation.

Deoxyribonuclease - an enzyme contained in the pancreas and intestinal mucosa; protein of albumin type. Hydrolyses (depolymerizes) deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) with the formation of deoxyribonucleotides. The preparation is obtained from the pancreas of cattle. It is a lyophilized white powder, soluble in water and isotonic sodium chloride solution. The activity is determined by the formation of acid-soluble products released by the preparation under certain conditions from DNA; it is expressed in units of activity (EA). In 1 mg of the drug should contain at least 1700 EA. Deoxyribonuclease has the ability to delay the development of viruses of herpes, adenoviruses and other viruses containing DNA. The effect is associated with the depolymerization of DNA to mono- and oligonucleotides by cleavage of internucleotide linkages. Suppressing the synthesis of viral DNA, deoxyribonuclease does not damage the DNA of the macroorganism cells.Deoxyribonuclease also causes depolymerization and liquefaction of pus.

Composition

Deoxyribonuclease + auxiliary substances.

Indications

  • herpetic keratitis and keratouveitis;
  • adenoviral conjunctivitis and keratitis;
  • acute catarrhal inflammation of the upper respiratory tract of adenoviral nature (adenovirus infection);
  • bronchiectatic disease, lung abscess, atelectasis, pneumonia (to reduce the viscosity and improve the evacuation of sputum and pus);
  • in the preoperative and postoperative periods in patients with purulent lung diseases, pulmonary tuberculosis.

Forms of release

Liofilizate for the preparation of a solution of 5 mg, 10 mg, 25 mg and 50 mg for injections (injections in ampoules) and topical application.

Instructions for use and dosing regimen

For external use, use Deoxyribonuclease as a 0.2% solution (2 mg of the drug in 1 ml) on isotonic sodium chloride solution. The solutions are prepared daily, the shelf life of the solution is 12 hours.

With herpetic keratitis and keratouveitis injected under the conjunctiva of the affected eye daily with 0.5 ml of sterile solution of deoxyribonuclease for 2-4 weeks.In addition, instilled in the eye for 2-3 drops of 0.2% solution 3-4 times a day. For the prevention of relapse continue to inject the drug for 6-10 days after persistent clinical improvement.

For the treatment of adenovirus keratoconjunctivitis enter into the conjunctival cavity 1-2 drops of 0,05% solution on distilled water every 1.5-2 hours during the day.

In acute catarrhal inflammation of the upper respiratory tract of adenoviral nature, the solution is buried in the nose or injected in the form of an aerosol. Inhalations for 10-15 minutes are performed 2-3 times a day for 2-5 days. For each inhalation - 3 ml of 0.2% solution.

In the case of suppuration in the lungs, the solution is injected into the respiratory tract in the form of an aerosol at a rate of 1 ml of the solution for 10-15 minutes. Each inhalation consumes about 3 ml of the solution. Inhalations are performed 3 times a day for 7-8 days.

To treat herpetic skin diseases in adults, intramuscularly inject 50 mg of Deoxyribonuclease in 5 ml of saline or novocaine (0.25% or 0.5%) every 4 hours for 3-10 days.

Side effect

  • allergic reactions (with topical application);
  • the increased frequency of attacks in patients with bronchial asthma, which requires a break in treatment or complete withdrawal of the drug.

Contraindications

  • individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Application in pregnancy and lactation

The use of the drug Deoxyribonuclease in pregnant and lactating women is not described.

Use in children

Information on the use of deoxyribonuclease in childhood is absent.

special instructions

Aqueous solution (and powder) Deoxyribonucleases are inactivated when heated above +55 degrees Celsius.

There is evidence of a positive effect of Deoxyribonuclease in acute viral hepatitis, Keposse's herpetiform eczema, and other diseases. In these cases, the drug is used parenterally. The question of parenteral use of the drug needs further study.

Drug Interactions

Significant interaction of deoxyribonuclease with other drugs is not described.

Recall of an ophthalmologist

Deoxyribonuclease sometimes I appoint patients with herpetic lesions of the eyes, namely with herpetic uveitis and keratoconjunctivitis. Patients instill in the eye a drug solution. I do not practice the drug under conjunctiva. But I can not say anything concrete about the effectiveness of Deoxyribonuclease, since all patients with this pathology receive complex therapy,against which there is a marked improvement in the condition. Allergic reactions to deoxyribonuclease in my practice was not.
