Myelopid is administered intramuscularly. The solution is prepared ex tempore (as required). The contents of the vial are dissolved in 1-2 ml of a 0.9% solution of sodium chloride for injection.

To prevent infectious complications after operations, mechanical, thermal and chemical trauma, myelopid is administered daily at a dose of 3-6 mg (1-2 ampoules), at a rate of 0.04-0.06 mg per 1 kg of body weight 1 time per day. The course of treatment is 5 days.

For treatment of exacerbations of chronic infectious and inflammatory diseases - in the same dose every other day. The course of treatment - 3-5 injections. Application for chronic infectious diseases outside of exacerbations is irrational.

Surgeon's doctor's opinion

Immunostimulant Myelopid I repeatedly appointed patients who are on inpatient treatment in our department. They were patients with severe osteomyelitis, with purulent lesions of the skin, with post-traumatic wound infections. To some of them I added intramuscular injection of myelopid into the complex therapy. To say that the recovery of these patients was faster, in comparison with those who did not receive this drug, I can not. Therefore, my personal opinion is this: this particular immunostimulating drug does not show the effectiveness that is described by the manufacturer in the instructions.
