Proteflazide - phytopreparation with antiviral action.Flavonoid glycosides contained in the wild cereals Deschampsia caespitosa L. and Calamagrotis epigeios L. are able to suppress virus-specific enzymes thymidine kinase and DNA polymerase in cells infected with herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2. This leads to a decrease in the ability or to a complete blockage of the replication of viral proteins and, as a consequence, prevents the reproduction of viruses.

Proteflazide stimulates the production of endogenous alpha and gamma interferons, which increases the nonspecific resistance to viral and bacterial infections, normalizes the immune status of the human body.
