The ban on advertising in the media - we confuse the small with the soft

State Duma deputy Anton Belyakov introduced a draft law that should prohibit advertising of medicines in unspecialized media. It is understood that the advertising of medicines will be allowed only in specialized print media and in places where medical exhibitions, seminars and other places where doctors hang out. Advertising of medicines on TV and radio will not be allowed.

Motivation of prohibitions - according to toxicologists, 60,000 Russians are poisoned with medicines every year and go to the toxicology departments of hospitals.

Now my criticism of the next draft law.

1. How many of the 60,000 poisoned Russians are drug addicts and drug addicts who, in the hope of getting a kicks, are poisoned with various drugs or deliberately overstate the doses of conventional drugs in the hope of getting the right dose for pleasure? The deputy will not give this answer, because he is not a doctor, he never was and he was violet, what law to take, the main imitation of the work.

3.Can dig deeper. Why do people in Russia do self-medication? Yes, because you can get to the right doctor incredibly difficult, when the disease will be launched (when no drugs will help), or even just for the money you can get to the right specialist. Maybe we should finally adopt an adequate legislation that will establish a hard norm to ensure human access to health care and if this standard is not met to start fining officials responsible on the ground for the work up front, can steal from the health budget would be less, and the doctors treated with respect.

3. When, at last, the law will be adopted, which introduces the criminal responsibility of drug distributors and co-operating doctors? Let less people die of this than 60,000, but this is a direct threat to the health of patients who do not know what they are appointed at all.

Patients for the most part do not self-medicate, and come to the doctor, but that's to cooperate with your pharmacist crook in his dressing gown, instead of assigning adequate health and financial condition of the patient means to prescribe a drug that will bring him bonus material.

I am also against the indiscriminate advertising of medicines, when the advertising of tablets and pills pours, almost from the iron, but this does not lie in the reasons for the general craze for self-medication in our people.
