Amendments to the law on advertising of dietary supplements

The law under which responsibility for the placed advertising of biologically active additives (BAD) will be borne not only by the advertiser - the manufacturer of preparations, but also by the advertising distributor adopted by the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

 

What does this mean? Advertising direct course to diminish. Needless to say, additives in most advertising booklets and on TV are portrayed as miraculous remedies for any diseases, although they are not. It is a fact.

 

Yes, additives prohibit meaningless and do not need. The correct supplements compensate in the body for a shortage of those elements that a person in sufficient quantity can not get from the natural environment. For example, to consume a large amount of fish and seafood to get enough omega-3 fatty acids or vitamins, which are also dietary supplements, but without which, for example, after severe illnesses, when vitamin and mineral deficiency can occur.

 

Changes in the law were made due to the fact that manufacturers announced non-existent properties of their products, but when they wanted to be legally punished for the dissemination of inaccurate information, it turned out that the advertising went through the company one-day and it does not exist anymore. There's no one to punish. But to punish the advertising distributor is easier, since there is a question of the legality of the existence of a sustainable business of the media that generates revenue. Many now simply will not contact dubious proposals for advertising (I'm not an exception: I have not previously contacted non-certified products, I will not do this now).

 

Will the manufacturers of these products find a way out? Of course. I daily filter a large amount of any pharmaceutical spam from sales representatives and managers to my medicines and supplements that are placed in my directory. They write without hiding, in the hope that everything will pass and the site is not monitored, but it is not. Pass praise can, because I can not act as a censor and publish all the reviews from real people. If you see that a person writes about the drug a laudatory ode and the text does not correspond to reality - write your own,in which tell your truth and if it does not go beyond decency (mate I do not like), then everything will be published and parity will be restored. So I try to keep track of my site and not allow unreasonable and customized reviews.

 

So after the adoption of amendments to the law on advertising, I expect a significant increase in laudatory reviews on Dietary supplements, which are presented in the directory, since in the conditions of a shrinking field for the advertisement of additives, it will be decided to use all the possibilities for free PR and without any liability for their actions. What better way to do this on a popular resource, having received an additional plus from a thousands of audience, thus increasing the sale of the product.

 

So the changes in the law are correct, but work on moderating the reviews in the directory will increase.
