Pharmacokinetics

 

Triamcinolone is poorly absorbed when applied externally and does not have a significant systemic effect. Violation of the integrity of the skin or occlusive dressing can increase the absorption of triamcinolone.

  • atopic dermatitis (neurodermatitis);

  • dermatitis of various etiology (including allergic);

Forms of release

 

Ointment for external use 0,1% (sometimes mistakenly called cream).

 

Instructions for use and how to use them

 

Outwardly.Ointment is applied to the affected areas of the skin with a thin layer 2-3 times a day (no more than 15 g per day).

 

Ointment can be used for occlusive dressing with lichenificated manifestations (not more than 10 g per day).

 

The course of treatment is usually 5-10 days, with a persistent course - up to 25 days, the use of more than 4 weeks is not recommended.

 

Side effect

  • allergic reactions;
  • the development of erythema, hypertrichosis;
  • development of secondary infectious lesions (attachment of bacterial and fungal infections);
  • at long application or drawing on extensive sites of a skin the systemic by-effects characteristic for glucocorticosteroids and atrophic changes of a skin are possible.

 

Contraindications

  • bacterial, viral and fungal skin diseases;
  • lupus;
  • cutaneous manifestations of syphilis;
  • perioral dermatitis;
  • tumors and precancerous skin diseases;
  • hypersensitivity.

 

Application in pregnancy and lactation

 

Fluorocortex is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation.

 

Use in children

 

It is not recommended to apply on large surfaces, avoid prolonged use in children regardless of age.
