Instenon - instructions for use, reviews, analogs and forms of release (tablets or dragees, including Forte, injections in injectable vials) for the treatment of the effects of stroke, dizziness in adults, children and pregnancy

In this article, you can read the instructions for using the drug Instenon. There are reviews of visitors to the site - consumers of this medication, as well as opinions of doctors of specialists on the use of Instenon in their practice. A big request is to actively add their feedback on the drug: the medicine helped or did not help get rid of the disease, which were observed complications and side effects, possibly not declared by the manufacturer in the annotation. Analogues of Instenon in the presence of existing structural analogues.Use to treat the effects of stroke, dizziness in adults, children, as well as during pregnancy and lactation.

Instenon - a combined drug that improves cerebral circulation and metabolism.

Ethamane due to activation of the reticular formation normalizes the functional state of neural complexes of the cortex and subcortical-stem structures.

Hexobendin improves the utilization of glucose and oxygen by activating anaerobic glycolysis and pentose cycles. The possibility of such activation is realized only under conditions of ischemia and hypoxia, when the cycle of aerobic oxidative phosphorylation is disrupted. Stimulation of anaerobic oxidation provides an energy substrate for the synthesis and metabolism of mediators and the restoration of synaptic transmission, whose depression, along with the destruction of neuronal membranes, is the leading pathogenetic mechanism of consciousness disorders and neurological disorders in hypoxia and cerebral ischemia. Geckobedin also stabilizes the physiological mechanisms of autoregulation of cerebral and cardiac blood flow, which is associated with the effects of lactate and pyruvate (anaerobic glycolysis products) on the receptor apparatus of intracranial arterioles and capillaries.

Ethophylline activates myocardial metabolism with an increase in the minute volume of the heart, which contributes to increased perfusion pressure in the vessels of the marginal zone of ischemia. This does not change the systemic blood pressure. Exciting effect on the nervous system is also manifested in the stimulation of subcortical formations, the midbrain and stem centers and nuclei (respiratory, vasomotor, centers of vegetative regulation, and also the nuclei of CMN, primarily the vagus nerve).

When Instenon is used in cases of ischemic stroke, closed craniocerebral trauma, restoration of the disturbed consciousness of the patient, regression of neurological disorders, activation of the vegetative sphere is noted.

Composition

Hexidine dihydrochloride + Etamivan + Ethophilin + excipients.

Indications

  • diseases of the brain of vascular genesis and associated with age-related changes;
  • consequences of cerebral blood supply insufficiency;
  • post-stroke states;
  • dizziness caused by functional brain disorders.

Forms of release

The tablets covered with a cover (including Forte).

Dragee.

Solution for intravenous and intramuscular injection (injections in ampoules for injection).

Instructions for use and dosing regimen

Depending on the severity of the disease, the drug is administered intramuscularly or intravenously (slowly) 1 ampoule 1-2 times a day, or as an IV infusion (droppers) 1 ampoule 1-2 times a day, together with 250 ml of a 5% solution levulose.

In a number of cases with rapid administration, a decrease in blood pressure is possible, so the duration of administration of one ampoule should be at least 3 minutes.

As the condition improves, the treatment can be continued with the drug in the form of coated tablets.

Inside appoint 1-2 tablets 3 times a day or 1 tablet forte 3 times a day (maximum 5 tablets) for 6 weeks.

Side effect

  • headache;
  • hyperemia of the face;
  • a decrease in blood pressure.

Contraindications

  • a state of strong excitation;
  • convulsive syndrome;
  • epilepsy;
  • symptoms of increased intracranial pressure (prolonged headache, vomiting, impaired vision);
  • cerebral hemorrhage;
  • hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Application in pregnancy and lactation

During pregnancy and lactation, Instenon is used only on strict indications.

special instructions

In some cases, with rapid intravenous administration, BP may drop, so the duration of administration of one ampoule should be at least 3 minutes.

Use with caution after a recent stroke and stenosis of the carotid artery due to arteriosclerosis.

Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and manage mechanisms

During the treatment period, care must be taken when practicing potentially hazardous activities requiring increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Drug Interactions

With the joint use of Instenone and drugs that reduce the activity of platelets (including acetylsalicylic acid), it is possible to increase the antiaggregant effect, due to the influence of hexiodine.

When using Caffeine in high doses, it is possible to reduce the effectiveness of Instenon (avoid drinking coffee and tea in large quantities).
