Contrikal inhibitor of fibrinolysis. Aprotinin (the active ingredient of the drug Contrikal) is a polyvalent protease inhibitor. Pharmacokinetics

After intravenous administration, aprotinin is distributed in the extracellular space, briefly accumulated in the liver. It is excreted by the kidneys. The decay of the aprotinin molecule to inactive particles occurs due to the lysosomal activity of the kidneys.

Indications

• acute pancreatitis;
• prevention of postoperative pancreatitis;
• shock states;
• threatening miscarriage or abortion;
• bleeding caused by hyperfibrinolysis, incl. after surgery, trauma; before, during and after delivery;
• severe hemorrhagic complications arising from thrombolytic therapy.

Forms of release

Lyophilizate for solution for intravenous and intracavitary injection (injections in ampoules for injection).

There are no other dosage forms, be it pills or capsules.

Instructions for use and dosage

Contrikal 10 000 injected intravenously struino (slowly, as much as 5 ml per 1 minute) or drip (in a dropper).

The contents of 1 bottle should be dissolved in 2 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution.

In case of bleeding, the initial dose is 300,000 ATPE, then 140,000 ATPE are injected every 4 hours intravenously until the hemostasis is normalized.

Side effect

• arterial hypotension;
• tachycardia;
• nausea, vomiting;
• after repeated infusions, a skin rash is possible;
• symptoms of anaphylactic reactions right up to the development of anaphylactic shock;
• after prolonged drip infusions in places of administration, thrombophlebitis is possible.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
• 1 trimester of pregnancy.

Application in pregnancy and lactation

Contrikal is contraindicated for use in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Clinical experience of the drug during lactation is not enough. If you need to use Contrikal during lactation, you should decide whether to stop breastfeeding.
