Cytovir 3 - immunomodulating drug, which affects the response of cellular, humoral immunity and nonspecific resistance of the organism. Has an interferonogenic effect.
The bendazole included in the preparation induces the production of endogenous interferon. Enzymes, induced by Interferon in cells of various organs, inhibit the replication of viruses. In addition, by activating immunocompetent cells, the drug promotes normalization of the immune status.
Timogen acts on the T-cell link of immunity.
Ascorbic acid activates the humoral unit of immunity, normalizes the permeability of capillaries, thereby suppressing the inflammatory process.
Composition
Timogen sodium (alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan sodium) + Bendazol + Ascorbic acid + auxiliary substances.
Pharmacokinetics
When ingestion the drug is completely absorbed from the digestive tract. Bioavailability of bendazole - about 80%, alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan - no more than 15%, ascorbic acid up to 70%.Ascorbic acid is absorbed in the digestive tract (mainly in the jejunum). Connection with plasma proteins - 25%. Easily penetrates into leukocytes, platelets, and then into all tissues, it penetrates the placenta. Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (peptic ulcer of stomach and duodenum, intestinal motility disorders, helminthic invasion, giardiasis), the use of fresh vegetable and fruit juices, alkaline drink reduce the binding of ascorbic acid in the intestine.
Metabolized ascorbic acid mainly in the liver in the deoxy-ascorbic, then in oxaloacetic and diketogulonovoy acid. It is excreted by the kidneys, through the intestines, with sweat, breast milk in unchanged form and in the form of metabolites.
The biotransformation products of bendazole in the blood are two conjugates formed as a result of methylation and carboethoxylation of the imidazole of the imidazole ring of bendazole: 1-methyl-2-benzylbenzimidazole and 1-carboethoxy-2-benzylbenzimidazole. Metabolites of bendazole are excreted in the urine.
Alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan under the action of peptidases is split into L-glutamic acid and L-tryptophan, which are used by the body in protein synthesis.
