Tysin - sympathomimetic. When topical application causes vasoconstrictive effect, which develops after a few minutes and persists for a long time.
Tizin Xylo Bio is a vasoconstrictive drug for topical application in ENT-practice. Xylometazoline (imidazole derivative) - alpha-adrenomimetic, narrows the blood vessels of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, eliminating edema and hyperemia of the mucous membrane. Relieves nasal breathing in rhinitis. Hyaluronic acid, which is part of the preparation, has a moisturizing effect when used in nasal medicines due to its ability to maintain mucous membranes in a moistened state and creates optimal conditions for reconstructive processes.
The action usually develops within 5-10 minutes.

special instructions
Long-term use and overdose of sympathomimetics, which have a decongestive effect, can lead to reactive hyperemia of the nasal mucosa. As a result, there is difficulty in nasal breathing, which leads to the fact that the patient begins to use the drug repeatedly or even constantly. This can lead to chronic swelling (medicamentous rhinitis), and eventually even to the atrophy of the mucous membrane of the nose (ozena).
In more mild cases, in order to improve the patient's condition, one can first stop the introduction of sympathomimetics into one nasal passage, and after reducing complaints continue to inject it into the other nasal passage to partially provide nasal breathing.
The patient should be informed that if the drug has become unusable or has expired, then do not throw it into sewage or into the street. It is necessary to place the drug in a bag and put it in a garbage container. These measures will help protect the environment.
Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and manage mechanisms
With prolonged treatment or use of the drug in higher doses, one can not exclude the possibility of its systemic action on the cardiovascular system. In such cases, the ability to drive and use machinery may be impaired.
Drug Interactions
Simultaneous use of MAO inhibitors such as tranylcypromine or tricyclic antidepressants may lead to an increase in blood pressure due to the cardiovascular effects of these substances.
