Venter - instructions for use, analogs, reviews and release forms (1 gram tablets, granules for the preparation of solution) drugs for the treatment of stomach and duodenal ulcers in the acute stage in adults, children and in pregnancy

In this article, you can read the instructions for using the drug Venter. Comments of visitors of the site - consumers of this medication, as well as opinions of specialists in the use of Venter in their practice are presented. A big request is to actively add their feedback on the drug: the medicine helped or did not help get rid of the disease, which were observed complications and side effects, possibly not declared by the manufacturer in the annotation. Venter's analogues in the presence of existing structural analogs.Use to treat stomach and duodenal ulcers in the acute stage in adults, children, as well as during pregnancy and lactation.

Venter - Gastroprotective agent. By interacting with proteins of necrotic ulcer tissue, forms a protective layer that prevents further destructive effects of pepsin, hydrochloric acid and bile salts. Increases the synthesis of prostaglandin, reduces the activity of pepsin and binds bile salts. Inhibits the activity of pepsin by 30%. Has a weak antacid effect.

Being in the stomach and duodenum, it transforms into a polyanion with a lot of free negative charges, which form strong bonds with the positive radicals of the proteinaceous exudate (albumin, fibrinogen) of the mucosa. Interaction with the unmodified mucosa is negligible.

Composition

Sucralfate + auxiliary substances.

Pharmacokinetics

Absorption is low - 3-5% of the administered dose (up to 5% disaccharide component and less than 0.02% aluminum). Output through the intestine - 90% unchanged; a small amount of sulfate disaccharide that enters the bloodstream is excreted by the kidneys.

Indications

  • peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the phase of exacerbation;
  • symptomatic ulcers;
  • Stress ulcers of the digestive tract;
  • erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract associated with the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs);
  • hyperacid gastritis;
  • reflux esophagitis;
  • reflux-gastritis;
  • gastroduodenitis;
  • heartburn;
  • drug ulcer;
  • Hyperphosphatemia in patients with uremia who are on hemodialysis.

Forms of release

Tablets 1 gram.

Granules for solution for oral administration 1 gram.

Instructions for use and how to use them

Inside adults for 0.5-1 g 4 times a day or 1 g in the morning and in the evening, or 2 g 2 times a day for 1 h before meals and at bedtime. The maximum daily dose is 12 g. The average duration of treatment of peptic ulcer is 4-6 weeks, if necessary - up to 12 weeks. Children - 0.5 grams 4 times a day.

In patients with hyperphosphatemia, a decrease in the concentration of phosphate in plasma may reduce the dose of sucralfate.

Side effect

  • constipation;
  • diarrhea;
  • nausea;
  • dry mouth;
  • gastralgia;
  • drowsiness;
  • dizziness;
  • headache;
  • itching;
  • rash;
  • hives;
  • pain in the lumbar region.

Contraindications

  • severe renal dysfunction;
  • dysphagia or gastrointestinal obstruction;
  • bleeding from the digestive tract;
  • hypersensitivity to sucralfate.

Application in pregnancy and lactation

Use with caution in pregnancy and lactation.

Studies of teratogenic effects of sucralfate were conducted in mice, rats and rabbits. Sucralfate was administered to pregnant females in a dose 50 times higher than the recommended dose for humans. At the same time, no damage to the fetus associated with this application was detected. However, sufficient controlled clinical studies on the use of sucralfate in pregnant women have not been conducted. In this regard, sucralfate and preparations based on it should be used with caution in pregnant women, correlating the benefits to the mother and the potential harm to the fetus.

special instructions

If it is necessary to simultaneously use antacids, they should be taken 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after taking Venter.

When renal insufficiency is necessary to control the concentration of aluminum and phosphate in the serum.

The appearance of drowsiness and convulsions may indicate the manifestation of toxic effects of aluminum.

Short-term treatment can lead to complete cicatrization of the ulcer, but does not change the frequency and severity of recurrences of peptic ulcer after scarring.

The administration of sucralfate through the nasogastric tube can lead to the formation of bezoar (calculus formed in the digestive tract and having the shape of a ball) with other drugs or solutions for enteral feeding, sucralfate can bind a protein.

Drug Interactions

With simultaneous use with indirect anticoagulants, it is possible to reduce their anticoagulant activity (including warfarin).

With simultaneous use, the absorption of antimicrobial agents of fluoroquinolone derivatives decreases.

With simultaneous use, the absorption of Amitriptyline decreases, which can lead to a decrease in its clinical effectiveness.

It is believed that with simultaneous use, it is possible to form chelate complexes with amphotericin B sucralfate, colistin sulfate, tobramycin, which may lead to a decrease in their antimicrobial activity.

With simultaneous use with digoxin, a decrease in Digoxin absorption is possible.

It is believed that with simultaneous use, a slight decrease in the absorption of Ketoconazole and Fluconazole is possible.

With simultaneous use with levothyroxine, the effectiveness of levothyroxine is markedly reduced.

With simultaneous use with Venter, there have been small changes in the pharmacokinetics of theophylline. It is also believed that a significant reduction in the absorption of theophylline from sustained-release dosage forms is possible.

It is believed that with simultaneous use, a decrease in the absorption of Tetracycline is possible.

With simultaneous application decreases the absorption of phenytoin, sulpiride.

The case of a decrease in the concentration of quinidine in the blood plasma is described when used simultaneously with sucralfate.

At simultaneous application it is impossible to exclude a certain decrease in the bioavailability of cimetidine, ranitidine, roxatidine.

Gastritis is my problem for about 20 years. I am treating the phases of exacerbation with varying success with different drugs. I can not boast of exemplary care for my health, I do not care about food in food, I love fried, I do not disdain fatty, work - stress stress and stress drives ... Therefore, unfortunately, we often have to be treated. In the next aggravation, I was richer than the old one. And those drugs that remained from the past exacerbated with this state could not cope. I even had to call an ambulance to help. The local Aesculapius were, surprisingly, attentive. I was strongly recommended by the drug Venter. As practice showed - a great thing! The district therapist the advice of colleagues has approved and from their light hand I already half a year do not know about symptoms of a gastritis. Of course, the menu was also revised by the wife and now there is more healthy food in my diet, but the drug works wonders. Pain removes from the first reception.
To say that I'm happy and I recommend Venter to everyone - no! It is better not to know or drink at all! But if "pripeklo" - an excellent assistant. For me, that's for sure. Now I carry it with me, just in case, but I very much hope that it will not be useful any more.

When the hospital was given an ulcer with an ulcer. Conveniently - he drank the talker and went, and healed faster. The truth was fixed once so much that the doctor said that it's time to tie this with this remedy, sitting on omeprazole only one later. Although it all started to heal 3 times :)

Alaa, Usually, one course of treatment with Venter for the scarring of an existing ulcer is sufficient, then the work of other drugs is already used to prevent the progression of peptic ulcer and exacerbations (treatment with Helicobacter pylori, diet, etc.).
