Pharmacokinetics
After oral administration, it is absorbed from the digestive tract. Binding to plasma proteins is reversible. It accumulates mainly in the liver, spleen, myocardium. In the body it turns into vitamin K2. The most intensive process of transformation occurs in the myocardium, skeletal muscles, somewhat weaker in the kidneys. Metabolites of vitamin K (monosulfate, phosphate and digyducuronide-2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone) are excreted in urine - up to 70%.
Indications
- hemorrhagic syndrome associated with hypoprothrombinemia;
- hypovitaminosis K (including with obstructive jaundice, hepatitis, cirrhosis, prolonged diarrhea);
- hemorrhagic disease of newborns;
- bleeding after wounds, injuries and surgical interventions;
- in gynecology as part of a comprehensive treatment of dysfunctional uterine bleeding, not associated with organic pathology;
- with menorrhagia;
- as a specific antagonist in bleeding associated with the use of indirect anticoagulants;
- 3 trimester of pregnancy (to prevent bleeding in newborns).

Tablets 15 mg.
Solution for intramuscular injection (injections in ampoules for injection).
Instructions for use and dosage
Adults with oral administration - 15-30 mg per day, intramuscularly - 10-15 mg per day.
Children under the age of 1 year - 2-5 mg per day, up to 2 years - 6 mg per day, 3-4 years - 8 mg per day, 5-9 years - 10 mg per day, 10-14 years - 15 mg per day. The frequency of reception is 2-3 times a day. The duration of treatment is set individually.
Maximum doses: for adults with oral administration, a single dose of 30 mg, daily - 60 mg; when administered intramuscularly, a single dose of 15 mg, a daily dose of 30 mg. For newborns - 4 mg per day.
