Gliatilin - instructions for use, analogs, reviews and release forms (capsules or tablets 400 mg, injections in injections) of a drug for the treatment of craniocerebral injuries and dementia in adults, children and in pregnancy

In this article, you can read the instructions for using the drug Gliatilin. There are reviews of visitors to the site - consumers of this medication, as well as opinions of doctors of specialists on the use of Gliatilin in their practice. A big request is to actively add their feedback on the drug: the medicine helped or did not help get rid of the disease, which were observed complications and side effects, possibly not declared by the manufacturer in the annotation. Analogues of Gliatilin in the presence of existing structural analogues.Use to treat craniocerebral trauma and dementia in adults, children, as well as during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Gliatilin - Nootropic preparation. Cholinomimetic of central action with a predominant effect on the central nervous system. The release of choline from the active substance occurs in the brain; Choline is involved in the biosynthesis of acetylcholine (one of the main neurotransmitter mediators). Alphoscerate is biotransformed to glycerophosphate, which is a precursor of phospholipids.

Acetylcholine improves the transmission of nerve impulses, and glycerophosphate is involved in the synthesis of phosphatidylcholine (membrane phospholipid), resulting in improved membrane elasticity and receptor function.

Gliatilin increases cerebral blood flow, enhances metabolic processes and activates the structures of the reticular formation of the brain, and also restores consciousness in traumatic brain lesions.

Has a preventive and corrective effect on the factors of involuntary psychoorganic syndrome, such as changes in the phospholipid composition of neuronal membranes and a decrease in cholinergic activity.

Thus, pharmacodynamic studies have shown that Gliatilin acts on the synaptic, in t.ch. cholinergic transmission of the nerve impulse (neurotransmission); plasticity of the neural membrane; function of receptors.

Composition

Choline alphoscerate + excipients.

Pharmacokinetics

After ingestion, absorption is 88%. Easily penetrates the blood-brain barrier (GEB), accumulates mainly in the brain (concentration reaches 45% of the level in the blood plasma), lungs and liver. 85% is excreted by the lungs in the form of carbon dioxide, the rest (15%) by the kidneys and through the intestine.

Indications

  • acute period of craniocerebral trauma, mainly with stem lesions (including in cases of impaired consciousness, coma);
  • disorders of cerebral circulation according to the ischemic type (acute and recovery period) and hemorrhagic type (recovery period);
  • degenerative and involutional psycho-organic syndromes and consequences of cerebrovascular insufficiency, such as primary and secondary impairments of mnestic functions, characterized by memory impairment, confusion, disorientation, decreased motivation, initiative and ability to concentrate;
  • changes in the emotional and behavioral sphere: emotional lability, increased irritability, decreased interest; senile pseudomelanchia;
  • multi-infarct dementia.

Forms of release

Capsules 200 mg (sometimes mistakenly called tablets).

Solution for intravenous and intramuscular injection (injections in ampoules for injection).

Instructions for use and how to use them

Capsules are taken orally before meals; the solution is administered intramuscularly or intravenously.

In acute conditions intramuscularly at a dose of 1 g (1 ampoule) per day or intravenously - from 1 g to 3 g per day.

With iv administration, the contents of 1 ampoule (4 ml) are diluted in 50 ml of physiological saline; the infusion rate is 60-80 drops / min. Duration of treatment is usually 10 days, but if necessary, treatment can continue until the appearance of positive dynamics and the ability to switch to taking capsules.

With chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency, changes in the emotional and behavioral sphere and multi-infarct dementia, the drug is prescribed by mouth 400 mg (1 capsule) 3 times a day.

The duration of therapy is 3-6 months.

Side effect

  • nausea (as a consequence of dopaminergic activation);
  • allergic reactions.

Contraindications

  • hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Application in pregnancy and lactation

The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) is contraindicated.

special instructions

Drug interaction of the drug Gliatilin is not established.

Gliatilin was appointed by a neurologist after my treatment for permanent headaches. First in injections (12 pcs.) Together with Cortexin. After a course of injections - drink 2 weeks in capsules. Now I drink the drug for the second week, my head still hurts, but I do not think there are strong pains yet. Painkillers still take almost every day. Yes, the price is really sky-high (~ 700 rubles for a package of 14 tablets, 3 for a day, therefore for a course of 314 days - 3 packs). Summary - it helps, but not much.

The drug is more like a food supplement than a serious remedy. I put injections with a concussion of GM, except for an empty wallet - no results.

Good afternoon! Prompt please, application Gliatilina at newborns, in the form of tablets (capsules)? In what dosage?

Assel, Standard - Gliatilin capsules are shown to children from 3 years old. They are not used before, because the child can not adequately swallow them, which is fraught with asphyxia and death (some doctors advise you to throw out powder and dissolve it in the baby's food, but why if there is a dosage form that allows the drug to be used in infants) . For newborns. infants and children under 3 years of age shows the use of Gliatilin in injections (injections).

Thank you very much for the answer! For a long time I was looking for a site where children's doses are painted in detail! True, some drugs that are contraindicated here are very often used in children's practice ...

Assel, I agree. Sometimes it is applied from despair, if there are no children's analogues of drugs and in this case such application is absolutely justified. Another option, when there is a banal tacit testing of medicines on children in the countries of the third world, can not be accepted with such an approach.

Good afternoon. To me have registered gliatilinum for intramuscular introduction, but have made only one nyxis. It was in Anapa. I put the ampoules in the bedside table and forgot for 3 months. There was a heat. Now I have again been prescribed this medicine. It is expensive and I thought about the old ampoules. But the package says that you can store at a temperature of no higher than 25 degrees. Tell me, can I use them, or not take chances. They told me in the pharmacy that I can, but I doubt it. Tell me how to act in this situation (it's expensive, after all). Thank you.

Tasia, I usually follow the instructions, including the storage modes. You can take risks only if there is absolutely no alternative (for example, there is no money to buy new drugs), but you need to be treated. And so it is not known, that as a result we will receive and we will not make such injections worse.The pills were still there, but the ampoules ...

I take gliatilin for 3 years, after a stroke. It helps a lot, improves memory, I do not know how it will be expressed more correctly - it becomes lighter in my head. But it's very expensive.

I could save this drug and put it on my feet. Together with Sermion, etc. Cheap analogs tried, but they turned out to be non-working. The only worthy analogue of Gliatilin is the Ukrainian Gliaton. And I noticed that the drug works and only works if the cause of the disease is determined correctly. From headaches I think that it will not work.He would rather put strokes on his feet than stop the headache. In general, I would prescribe it to all the elderly.
