Cream Triderm combines antiphlogistic, antipruritic, antiallergic and antiexudative effect of betamethasone dipropionate with antifungal activity of clotrimazole and broad antibacterial action of gentamycin sulfate.

Clotrimazole has an antifungal effect due to a disruption in the synthesis of ergosterol, which is an integral part of the fungal cell membrane. It is active against Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum canis, Candida albicans, Malassezia furtur (Pityrosporum obiculare).

Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the aminoglycoside group. It is bactericidal and provides highly effective local treatment of primary and secondary bacterial skin infections. It is active against gram-negative bacteria: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Aerobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris and Klebsiella pneumoniae; gram-positive bacteria: Streptococcus spp.(sensitive strains of beta-and alpha-hemolytic streptococcus group A), Staphylococcus aureus (coagulase-positive, coagulase-negative and some strains producing penicillinase).

special instructions

Ointment Triderm is not intended for use in ophthalmology.

Prolonged local use of antibiotics can sometimes lead to an increase in resistant microflora. In this case, as well as with the development of irritation, sensitization or superinfection in the treatment of Triderm ointment, treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy prescribed. There were cross-allergic reactions with aminoglycolytic antibiotics.

Any side effects that occur with the use of systemic glucocorticosteroids, including suppression of adrenal cortex function, can also be noted with topical application of GCS, especially in children.

Systemic absorption of GCS or gentamicin for topical application will be higher,if the radiation will be carried out on large areas of the skin or with the use of occlusive dressings, especially with prolonged treatment or in violation of the integrity of the skin. It is necessary to avoid applying gentamicin to open wounds and damaged skin. Otherwise, there may be side effects, characteristic of gentamicin in its systemic application. Appropriate precautions should be taken in such cases, especially when treating children.

With prolonged use of the drug, it is recommended to cancel it gradually.

Use in Pediatrics

Children are prescribed the drug only under strict indications and under medical supervision, since it is possible to develop systemic side effects associated with betamethasone. When triderma, as well as many other topical preparations based on GCS, on extensive surfaces and / or with occlusive dressing can suppress the function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal system, a decrease in the excretion of growth hormone, as well as an increase in intracranial pressure, can be observed.

Drug Interactions

Due to low systemic absorption, interaction with other drugs has not been observed.

For a long time I suffered from dermatitis, no one could find out the reason. It was treated with the most expensive drugs, nothing helped. Constant itching, which prevented me from living, and recently also brought an infection, I thought that nothing would help me. A friend advised this wonderful drug. Triderm is just a magician. She applied a thin layer twice a day to the affected area. Everything passed before our very eyes. Four weeks later did not happen at all. My joy simply did not have a side-chapel. I advise everyone who faced this problem, I am sure and will help you.In pharmacies there is Tridentum ointment and there is a cream, the second for 10 percent cheaper. I think for many, the savings will be very necessary. They are released in pharmacies freely and without a prescription.

Does this drug help with neurofibromatosis?

Vladimir 1959, Probably not. I have not heard about this method of treating this disease. And most likely it is impossible, proceeding from the mechanism of the pathogenesis of neurofibromatosis. With this disease there are no points of application of the medicine Triderm.

Hello. And does this drug help against pungent lichen?

Arkady, I would start with something simpler. The pathogenesis of pityriasis is mycosis or fungus, so I would start with antifungal medicines without the additional antibiotics and glucocorticosteroid hormone that is contained in the drug Triderm. For the beginning, ointments or creams based on Fluconazole, Ketoconazole, Bifonazole and their trade names would come up. If it does not help, then the tablet forms of these medicines.

I read reviews, looked at the price, decided that this is an effective tool. Took for the removal of exacerbation of eczema. As a result, disappointed, it's already the second week, but the itch persists.
