Composition of the preparation.

Novitrothane m-cholinoblocker from the group of tertiary amines. Along with moderate m-holinoblokiruyuschey activity has the ability to directly affect the smooth muscles of internal organs (myotropic antispasmodic effect). Eliminates spasms and lowers the tone of smooth muscles of the internal organs: the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), bile ducts, uterus, urinary tract, including the bladder. With a neurogenic bladder, oxybutynin (Novitropan's active ingredient) relaxes the detrusor (muscle) of the bladder, reduces spontaneous detrusor cuts, increases the capacity of the bladder, and reduces the frequency of urinary urges.

Review of the pediatrician

I prescribe Novitropan to adolescents for treatment of nocturnal enuresis in combination with physiotherapeutic procedures, correction of the daily regimen and drinking regimen. In most cases, a positive trend is noted when taking half a tablet (2.5 mg) 3 times a day, with the obligatory condition that the last dose the child takes before bed. There were patients who had to increase the dose to 15 mg per day, that is, 1 tablet 3 times a day. There were no pronounced side effects during treatment with Novitropane in my practice.
