In this article, you can read the instructions for using the drug Ginoflor E. Presented are reviews of visitors to the site - consumers of this medication, as well as opinions of medical specialists on the use of Gynoflora E in their practice. A big request is to actively add their feedback on the drug: the medicine helped or did not help get rid of the disease, which were observed complications and side effects, possibly not declared by the manufacturer in the annotation. Analogues of Gynoflora E in the presence of existing structural analogues.Use to treat bacterial vaginosis, thrush, or candidiasis in adults, children, as well as during pregnancy and lactation. Composition of the preparation.

Ginoflor E - included in the preparation, estriol and lactobacillus Lactobacillus acidophilus, participate in the physiological mechanism of maintaining a normal vaginal biocenosis.

Lactobacillus acidophilus - one of the dominant microorganisms of the vagina of a healthy woman, possessing antagonistic activity against pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms.

Estriol - is an estrogen of short action, has a protective trophic effect on the vaginal epithelium and has no systemic effect on the woman's body. Proliferating the mature epithelium of the vagina accumulates the glycogen necessary for the functioning of lactobacilli, which in turn produces lactic acid, supporting the acidic environment of the vagina (pH 3.8-4.5), which creates unfavorable conditions for the colonization and development of pathogenic microorganisms. In addition to lactic acid, Lactobacillus acidophilus produce hydrogen peroxide and bacteriocins, which also inhibit the development of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms.

The change in the physiological vaginal flora is due to various factors: local or systemic use of antibacterial drugs, incl. due to vaginal infections, systemic diseases, non-compliance with hygiene rules. In these cases, the amount of lactobacillus can be significantly reduced. Intravaginal application of Gynoflora E improves the condition of the vaginal epithelium and restores its normal flora. Lactose, which is contained in vaginal tablets as a filler, can also be fermented with lactobacilli into lactic acid.

The vaginal epithelium is thinned and can be damaged in case of hormonal disorders, so Ginoflor E can be used in postmenopause, weakening its local symptoms (itching, burning, dryness in the vagina, soreness in intercourse), contributing to the normalization of the epithelium of the vagina and urethra, the frequency of dystrophic inflammatory conditions.

It is shown that Lactobacillus acidophilus for several hours leads to the necessary decrease in pH, and estriol, with a treatment duration of 6-12 days, provides a proliferative trophic effect on the epithelium of the vagina.

Composition

Lactobacillus acidophilic (lyophilizate) + Estriol + auxiliary substances.

Pharmacokinetics

When the drug is injected into the vagina, lyophilized bacteria and estriol are released. The absorption of estriol from Gynoflora E has been studied in postmenopausal women. After repeated use of the drug, its concentration in plasma corresponds to the concentration of endogenous unbound estriol. After the 12th day of the use of vaginal tablets in the course of treatment with Gynoflora E (1 time per day), the maximum concentration of unbound estriol in the blood plasma does not differ from the initial one, which indicates the absence of systemic absorption. The use of the drug does not affect the concentration of estrone and estradiol in the blood plasma, since estriol is the final product of their metabolism.

Indications

  • restoration of the flora of Lactobacillus acidophilus after local and / or systemic treatment with antibiotics or other chemotherapeutic agents;
  • estrogen-dependent atrophic vaginitis in postmenopause, including in combination with hormone replacement therapy (HRT);
  • bacterial vaginosis.

Forms of release

Tablets are vaginal for 6 and 12 pieces in a package (sometimes mistakenly called candles).

Instructions for use and how to use them

Vaginal tablets should be injected deep into the vagina in the evening before bed, preferably in a supine position on the back, slightly bending the legs in the knees.

To restore the flora of Lactobacillus acidophilus after local and / or systemic treatment with antibiotics or other chemotherapeutic agents, as well as in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis: 1-2 vaginal tablets daily for 6-12 days.

In the treatment of estrogen-dependent atrophic vaginitis in postmenopause: 1 vaginal tablet daily for 6-12 days, then the supporting dose is 1 vaginal tablet 1-2 times a week.

Side effect

  • burning sensation (heat) in the vagina;
  • rarely redness and itching of the vulva and vagina.

Contraindications

  • hypersensitivity to the drug or its components;
  • Malignant estrogen-dependent neoplasms, incl. mammary glands, uterus and vagina (diagnosed, in history, and with suspicion of them);
  • endometriosis (suspected or diagnosed);
  • bleeding from the vagina of an unclear etiology;
  • use in girls before the onset of sexual activity;
  • untreated endometrial hyperplasia.

Application in pregnancy and lactation

Application in the first trimester of pregnancy is undesirable. It is possible to use Ginoflor E in 2-3 trimesters of pregnancy and during lactation. The undesirable effects of lactobacilli and estriol on pregnancy and the condition of the fetus / newborn have not been found. However, long-term clinical studies on the effect of estriol on the fetus were not conducted.

Use in children

Contraindicated in the use of girls before sexual intercourse
